Stuart and I have been complete slackers at keeping up this blog, so I (Amy) decided to “try” to do better at it. So here is your update on all things.
Stuart– Still being a good little worker at PlanSource. He is has been really busy on a lot of important projects, while still trying to keep up with his normal duties. I really can’t tell you what he does. He comes home and tells me what is going on but its just computer junk this and co-worker that. I can’t keep it all straight. I do know that his bosses LOVE him! He just got a gift card from one of the bosses thanking him for being awesome.
Amy– I don’t do a whole lot of exciting stuff. I completely LOVE being a stay home mommy! I am still working on Saturdays, when I’m not being a bum, as an Occupational Therapist Assistant. I really love the flexibility I have with my job. I have been very crafty lately. I am not at liberty to discuss what I have been working on as they are Christmas presents. I am quite impressed with my craftiness.
Now to the real reason anyone reads the blog: THE BOYS!!! The boys are now 14 months old (11months adjusted). They are getting cuter by the day!
Liam– He is going to be a terror! Ok, he is already starting. He has mastered the art of rolling to and fro and was rolling around to get where he wanted to go. We were worried he would roll out the door one day. He was working on crawling, he hasn’t quite figured out the whole mechanics of it, he can kind of army crawl. I don’t think he is too interested in crawling now, as he likes to stand up! He does it everywhere, in his crib, at the couch and holding on to people. Mom has now become a jungle gym to him. I have a feeling that crawling is going to be out the window. (Editor Stu’s note: He crawled across the living room last night into Grandpa Crapo’s arms…it was pretty darn cute.)
Aiden– He is going at Aiden pace. He is trying SO hard to roll over. He and Mom have been working really hard at doing lots of tummy time and stretching. He is getting strong little core muscles! He likes to do what we have nicknamed “baby crunches” where he tightens up his little tummy and lifts his head and feet off the ground. He just saw a doctor about the tightness in his little arms and legs. The doctor seemed confident that we can resolve the issue. It will involve SHOTS!!! and lots of them. We will be trying Botox shots to help relax the muscle that tighten up when he goes to grab stuff. He has been spending good quality time sitting in his Bumbo chair with a little tray on it. He really doesn’t like the sitting up, but is liking having things at a level that he can play with, until Liam comes and steals them.
Both boy are working on progressing to the next level of food. Liam is a garbage disposal and will almost eat anything. Aiden is a little bit pickier with textures so Mom is being sneaky and adding a little more here and there. They both LOVE fruits, Mom should have never got them started. We are now having a hard time getting them to eat vegetables. Just like everything else we are working on that too.
Our lives the past have definitely been an adventure the last 14 months, but those little guys are worth that trouble!
